SUNBED SAFETY ADVICE 1. Assess your Skintype using the questionnaire provided at your nearest Seaspray Salon and refer to the chart for tanning times. 2. Remove cosmetics and perfume - Special care is necessary in cases of pronounced individual sensitivity or when certain products are used. 3. Wear goggles - Unprotected eyes may develop surface inflammation and, in some cases, damage may occur to the retina after excessive exposure. Cataract may develop after many repeated exposures. 4. Do not cover or restrict ventilation holes. 5. Do not use preparations designed for use in the sun - These will generally form a barrier against tanning and may damage the surface of the sunbed. 6. Do not use the sunbed when taking medicines which increase sensitivity to ultra violet light or if you have a fear of enclosed spaces. Consult your doctor if you are taking any medication or if you suffer from any medical condition. 7. Seek medical advice if persistent lumps, sores or pigmented moles appear on the skin. 8. Skin may develop sunburn after excessive exposure. Repeated over-exposure to ultra violet from the sun or UV Appliances may lead to premature ageing of the skin or may increase the risk of developing skin tumours. Always adhere to recommended Tanning Times and exercise moderation in the Sun 9. Remember that the effects of ultra violet from the Sun or Sunbeds, are dependant on the quality and quantity as well as individual skin sensitivity. Do not expose any part of the body more than once a day and do not sunbathe on the same day. | ||
